Real Life Christian Church is part of the Uniting Church in Australia and is a vibrant intergenerational church of influence, with ministries at Springwood and Carbrook and looking to plant more churches.

Real Life Christian Church is transitioning from being a church that is ‘a light on hill’ for our region to being ‘a light on many hills’ as an expression of our deep commitment to be disciples who make disciples.
We are seeking a Church Plant Leader(s) / Pastor to develop and lead the church plant to the Shoreline community in the Redlands. This person will be passionate about knowing and embodying the Real Life Christian Church culture and living out our mission, vision and values. Working closely with the Lead Pastor and Ministry Leadership Team members, the Church Plant Leader(s) will identify, recruit, train and develop the core church plant team while immersing themselves in the life of Real Life Christian Church. They will collaboratively craft the missional strategy to multiply disciples through the Redlands church plant.
Key Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the Lead Pastor and existing leaders and others (as may be appropriate), vision and strategize the development of Real Life Redlands (Shoreline) Church Plant
- Develop and support the teams and leadership necessary to enact the vision and strategy for more people knowing real life in Jesus in the Redlands (particularly the Shoreline community)
- Facilitate the effective administration of the Real Life Redlands (Shoreline) Church Plant
- Actively connect with students, staff and families in local schools, businesses, and organisations in the church plant region
- Facilitate and lead worship gatherings / services (including preaching and teaching) as necessary (once established)
The Real Life Redlands Church Plant Leader may serve and minister in other ministry areas of Real Life Christian Church as required.
The successful candidate will bring
- Accreditation and an undergraduate-level theological/ministry qualification, or equivalent, and the ability to be accredited as a pastor within the Uniting Church
- Demonstrated capacity to make and multiply disciples and develop and equip leaders
- Growing preaching and teaching gifts
- Excellent relational, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and manage competing priorities
- A deep commitment to Christ, to the mission and ethos of Real Life Christian Church and the Uniting Church, and to a healthy team culture
